International Women's Day
The Gather the Women week of activities,
now in its second year, inspired women around the world to
create local gatherings to weave a world that works. One hundred
and thirty-four events in twelve countries were posted on
the website with reports of hundreds more. Countries listed
included: Australia, Austria, Canada, Chile, Egypt, Israel,
Mexico, Nepal, The Netherlands, South Africa, England and
the United States.
Gatherings were also held in 32 states in the United
States including: Arizona, Arkansas, California,
Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois,
Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota,
Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New
Mexico, Nw York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania,
Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington and West
Virginia.
