2005 GTW Regional Congress of Southern California:
BUILD THE FIELD: TAKING THE NEXT STEP

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there."
Rumi

The future is upon us and women have an integral part to play ...

It’s time to Gather the Women!

Come join other like minded women and...

Share your story ...

Tune into your deepest wisdom ...

Collect resources to change your world for the better!

No matter where you are in your journey, this unique program is designed to help you take your next step with clarity, confidence and support. Using the concept of a spiral we will wind inward, touch center, then revolve back out into the world. Core Questions, brief keynotes and lots of circle time will give participants food for thought and resources for action.

Keynotes:

  • Answering the Call – Core Questions to Move Us Forward
Harriet Adams, Debra Hagstrom, Sandy Pendleton & Kathleen Scott

  • Tuning into your Inner Voice
Margaret Wolff – Author of "In Sweet Company"

  • Spiraling Responsibility - Taking Your Work Out into the World
Kathe Schaaf – Leadership Council of Gather the Women

We are not just gathering the women.
We are also gathering the women’s organizations
of Southern California.

If your organization brings a delegation of 3-5 women to this timely gathering, you will discover numerous powerful ways to network and synergize with others:

  • All organizations will be invited to present a one minute ‘info-mercial’ about your goals and projects before the entire group.
  • A description of your organization and complete contact information will be published in our Organizational Directory.
  • Each organization will be given space at our resource tables to set up a display board describing your on-going work, including ample space for handouts and flyers of upcoming events.
  • Your organization will be listed on the Gather the Women website as a participating partner in the Southern California Congress.
  • ...and there will be plenty of time for personal connection and conversation during the day.

Urgent Message From Mother: Gather the Women, Save the World
By Jean Shinoda Bolen
Scheduled for publication on September 1, 2005.

From Publishers Weekly
"Gather the women," says Jungian analyst Bolen, is "an urgent message from Mother to her Daughters," a call for the women's movement (after the suffragists and the movement of the 1960s and 70s Bolen calls this third movement "the women's peace movement") to end conflict and violence in the world...

In Sweet Company: Conversations with Extraordinary Women about Living a Spiritual Life
By Margaret Wolff

In Sweet Company: Conversations With Extraordinary Women About Living A Spiritual Life is a compelling collection of intimate conversations with 14 remarkable women, each with a spiritual life that nourishes them and serves as a dependable compass for their decision-making. Each chapter tells the story of one woman's inner development in her own words, and the social, emotional and professional fulfillment her spiritual commitment provides her.
