Gather the Women Regional Congresses
Gather the Women Global Matrix (GTW) is a global community of
women committed to practicing compassionate and collaborative use
of their personal power – a place to explore the new frontier
of feminine leadership. In 2003, the first GTW International Congress
was held in San Francisco, bringing together over 300 women from
23 countries. The second Congress was convened in Dallas, Texas
in 2004. As an expression of it original intention, GTW has also
offered a model which invited hundreds of smaller gatherings to
be co-created in communities around the world to commemorate International
Women's Day in March for the past three years.
In 2005, Gather the Women combined these two models in a living
example of self-organizing feminine leadership. We invited the co-creation
of numerous GTW Regional Congresses held over the same fall weekend
in numerous locations across the United States and linked by a common
theme. Each Congress was anchored by leadership in its region and
drew together women from a diverse cross-section of women's organizations
to explore issues and discover opportunities for connection.
"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing
and rightdoing,
there is a field. I'll meet you there."
