GTW Founding Circle

Gather the Women Global MatrixSM has experienced incredible growth and transformation since its launch in 2003. We worked to build a stable foundation for the organization with the help of a solid team of accountants, attorneys and administrative assistants. Soon we will be launching a new website that offers more information and networking to our matrix of women and women's organizations.

We secured our IRS 501.c.3 status, and are in the process of filing our registration of a trademark of our new logo in combination with our new name. Three of our 6 Congresses on 6 Continents in 2006 have been held in Canada, Kenya, and Australia, and we feel the momentum building for the Sophia Women's World Conference in 2010 followed by a United Nations 5th Women's World Conference.

In order to continue building a strong administrative foundation for this Matrix, we are seeking women who are moved to join our GTW Founding Circle. The GTW Founding Circle provides a unique opportunity to provide financial support during these pivotal years of operation as Gather the Women Global MatrixSM. Funds will be used to strengthen the administrative base of the organization by securing staff services, contracts for ongoing web design and services, establishing a basic logistical operation, printing costs, telephone services, and other administrative needs. In addition to administrative support, we are most concerned to develop scholarship programs for attendees at the remaining three Continental Congresses to be held in India, South America, and Europe

At this time, Gather the Women relies entirely on the volunteer commitments of its Board of Directors, the Gather the Women Council and women who commit to projects like Congress coordination and International Women's Day for administrative support. While we have been gifted with skilled and dedicated leadership over the past two years, it is time we begin to develop a more sustainable organizational structure.

To date, our only source of income has been profits from our 2003 Congress. We need to begin to model sound financial planning and management, and we are inviting you to serve as a member of our Founding Circle to help us reach that goal.

There are several options for becoming a member of The Founding Circle:

An immediate contribution of $1,000 or more [that hopefully will be followed by additional support when we demonstrate successful use of your contribution]; and/or,
A Pledge to contribute $800 per year for the next three years; or
A Pledge to contribute $600 per year for the next five years.

GTW Founding Circle members will be acknowledged on our website and in printed materials at the annual Congress. They also will be honored at a GTW Founding Circle event each year. Since GTW is a 501.c.3 tax-exempt organization, your contribution is fully tax deductible.
