Conveners’ Circle
GTW Conveners
We are blessed at Gather the Women by the gift of brilliant leadership, women who lead from a place of deep service. We are grateful for their creativity, their expansive vision and their integrity. Gather the Women relies upon the effective power of circle principles for leadership of our grassroots global movement.
Our Conveners are our Board of Directors and keep Gather the Women moving forward.
- SUZAN NOLAN – MATRIX CONVENER “We use the term Matrix Convener to describe the role of the woman who might be called Chairwoman in a more hierarchical organization. In addition to making decisions in circle with other conveners, I organize our monthly conference call and plan the annual conveners’ gathering, making sure we have a focus and direction for our discussions. GTW has had a presence at the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations, Women of Spirit and Faith, and we will be represented at the Parliament of World Religions in 2015. I am pleased to be able to represent GTW at national and international events. It is such a privilege to serve with smart, committed women who are part of the waking up of the feminine divine worldwide.”
- LAURA TRIA – SECRETARY I’ve been facilitating local Circles in and around New York City, monthly for more than 23 years. For me, it’s a calling. It’s a sharing in the feminine heartbeat. I know we are healthier, happier and more stable in our individual lives because we gather. This is what GTW does globally! I truly am not sure if GTW found me or I found them. Either way, I am honored and humbled at this organism (I use this term because GTW is a living organization) that continues to maintain the sacred space for womyn around the world to gather together for healing, expression, dance, tears, laughter and love. It’s what the world needs now. As Secretary for GTW my duties are keeping the minutes of the Conveners Circle and maintaining the records and the correspondence of the Conveners. I’ll be participating in all decisions made for this soul filled organism while exercising all duties incident to the office of Secretary. For me, the words ‘job’ or ‘title’ carry no burden. Instead I am passionately called to perform these duties joyfully and with pleasure.
- SUSAN LYNN (KEYS) – TREASURER – ACTING SECRETARY Gather the Women came into my life in 2016 creating a spiritual shift that continues to strengthen each day. After a very short time, I felt a need to participate more actively, and was moved to become a facilitator for a Circle in my home. We now invite women twice a month to sit in Circle for the sharing and deep conversations so important to women today. As my spiritual journey continued, I realized there was more to be done to support Gather the Women, so I volunteered to become the Treasurer. As such there is opportunity to guide the financial workings of the organization as it expands. It is a privilege to work more intimately with Gather the Women and to realize the talents and inner beauty of the Conveners, Circle Coordinators and all the women with which I interact. With this new spiritual platform on which to rest my life, there is renewed excitement in being a part of the next phase of women’s empowerment to move forward in promoting gender equality, women’s rights and a plethora of actions toward making this a more peaceful and sustainable planet on which to live.
- ELAINE ROBLES — INTERNATIONAL CIRCLE COORDINATOR CONVENER In my heart I knew there was a larger place that would fill my heart and the hearts of others with love, compassion, understanding and a safe place where women could gather without judgement. I was introduced to GTW and very quickly saw the commonality of the community of women. I facilitate my own circles in The Bronx, New York City. I felt a deep calling to be part of GTW not only as a participant but as a voice with the organization. As time went on this role found me and I am honored to be a part of GTW. We currently serve women from 93 countries around the world. There are 48 International Circle Coordinators representing 24 countries not including Canada & the U.S. As International Convener I welcome our sisters from all over the globe. I assist them in finding a circle or perhaps in creating one in their community. I work with the U.S. and the Canadian Circle Coordinator Conveners to welcome our sisters and give them the direction required to join a wonderful space.
- JUDITH HURLEY PROSSER – USA CIRCLE COORDINATOR CONVENER In the Fall of 2001, I received an email from Marilyn Nyborg, co-founder of Gather the Women, inviting me to attend a circle to create the vision for Gather the Women in Nevada County, California. I heard the call then and, 19 years, hundreds of circles and five Annual Gatherings later, I am still inspired to answer the call of the vision of Gather the Women. While continuing to be active in my local community, I am now honored to be the USA Circle Coordinator. I get to greet all the new women subscribing to our Gather the Women Global Matrix website. It is my role to focus on assisting women within the United States who are, or want to be, Circle Coordinators and to help women find their circle home. This network of committed sisters is the heart of Gather the Women, for it is in circle that women create safe spaces to share our true selves and to be heard. Circle is where we find our voices, reclaim our power and remember our self-worth. Circle is where heart-to-heart connections are made and transformation happens. I am incredibly grateful to be part of that process.
- MICHELLE LANDRY – GTW CANADA CIRCLE COORDINATOR CONVENER “The women I met and what I experienced at my first Gather the Women Circle in August 2012, deeply inspired and moved me, cracked me open. It truly felt like coming home! As the GTW Canada Circle Coordinator Convener, I provide leadership and support to our ever-expanding group of Canadian CCs as well as nurturing the growth GTW Circles across Canada. I love calling forth the gifts of those around me and together we hope to inspire many more women to step up to lead Circles. There is “a leader in every chair”, and along with all our CCs who have responded to the call, we continue to find ways to support and empower the women who join GTW Canada via the tools available to us: training, regional and national gatherings, mentoring, monthly video-conferencing Circles as well as through Social Media. I want every woman to know that experience of “coming home.” It is truly an honour and a privilege to serve as a member of the Convener’s Circle and to collaborate together in fulfillment of the GTW Vision.

- DEE RYDER-MEAD – WEBSITE CONVENER “I AM so Blessed and Grateful to be a part of Gather the Women. I had been looking for a Sacred Sisterhood and through GTW I found exactly what I was looking for, from the Divine Heart-Filled sharing in Sacred Circles to making new SisterFriends all over the world. I cherish the Wisdom from those who proceeded me in GTW and those who will follow along after me with such Joy that we have been and will be able to come together in the Sacred Space of GTW and Circles.
