Give to Gain: Amplifying Women's Voices Worldwide
Hosted by Gather the Women
Sunday, March 8, 2026
9:00am–12:00pm Pacific
Note: March 8 is the start of Daylight Savings Time in the U.S. Please adjust your clocks and plan accordingly.
You are invited to join women from around the world as we gather in circle to honor International Women’s Day 2026. In a spirit of connection, storytelling, and shared wisdom, we will come together virtually to celebrate the strength, resilience, and sacred presence of women everywhere.
This gathering holds special meaning for us. GTW was activated on International Women’s Day in 2003. We dedicate this event to the memory of our sister Carol Hansen Grey, who helped co-create the seed that would grow into the global matrix we now tend together. We honor her vision, her generosity, and the way her initial act of inspirational giving continues to ripple outward across continents and generations.
This year, we join the global community in lifting up the 2026 International Women’s Day theme: Give to Gain—a reminder that when women offer our stories, our presence, and our courage, we expand what becomes possible for all of us. Gather the Women Global Matrix is honoring this theme through our event, Give to Gain: Amplifying Women’s Voices Worldwide.
Adding to the richness of our time together, women from across the globe—Sabine (Austria), Alejandra (Uruguay), Ana (Argentina), Sue (American, living in Ireland and Spain), Alice (Kenya), and Debbie and Dawn (California and Montana)—will offer reflections from their regions and their lives, weaving a tapestry of global sisterhood.
Mark your calendars, hold the morning with care, and plan to be with us as we weave our voices and hearts together across the globe. As we step into our time together, may we remember that every voice shared is a gift, every moment of listening is an offering, and every connection strengthens the web that holds us all. May we give freely, receive openly, and allow our circle to amplify the wisdom we carry.

In March 2025, Gather the Women Global Matrix invited participants to join in the celebration of International Women’s Day, focusing on Accelerating Action for Women’s Equality. Throughout the month, we highlighted women and organizations from around the world, who made a positive difference in the lives of women.
Each week in March, we sent two emails. The first spotlighted international women and their work in the world. The second offered ideas and prompts to weave into daily life.

The Winter Tales Storyteller Series invited us into a shared circle of wonder, where the lingering chill of winter became a backdrop for connection. Each week, we gathered to hear stories woven from a tapestry of global traditions—tales that carried warmth, wisdom, and the spirit of the season.

Participants embraced the opportunity to uncover unique cultural treasures and reflect on the beauty of winter through diverse voices.

Over six Sundays, we journeyed together through these tales, honoring the sacred art of storytelling across continents and generations.
